Making a difference for the disadvantaged in Wakefield

Changed for Good

Project Manager Kevin Dobson has composed a song about his experience since taking up post at CAP Care.

Changed for Good” is the story of Kevin's experience in his first year in post. Kevin says: “It has changed my life. The work of the staff, volunteers and clients together continues every day to change the lives of people who have found themselves at the point of desperation”.

The Main Street Preachers are an acoustic duo comprising Kevin and Rev James Morley, a Methodist Minister in the Aire and Calder Methodist Circuit. Jane Freeman works voluntarily behind the scenes at the charity and has joined up with Kevin and James for this venture.

CAP Care relies heavily on public donations to be able to help over 700 people each year, at a rate of more than 85 people every day at the dedicated day centre in the middle of Wakefield.
