CAP Care provides a safe, clean, warm and friendly, non-judgmental environment and a wide variety of support services
throughout the week from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday We provide immediate and long term practical and emotional support solutions to vulnerable people in crisis and for as long as they may need.
Types of support and services include:
- Provision of emergency basic needs i.e. cooked hot meals, clothing, showers, household goods and furniture etc
- Friendship and restoration of self-worth
- Specialist Counselling, emotional and interpersonal support
- Emplo
yment and education help and advice and vocational training/work experience opportunities - Help to find a long term permanent housing solution
- Help with form filling and internet based applications
- Basic life skills development e.g. how to shop, cook, manage money etc.
- Sign-posting to other agencies for further help e.g. health, mental health, benefits.
- Hosting of weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings
- Provision of onsite specialist services eg Universal Credit, Citizens Advice, Turning Point, Health Agencies, Rough Sleeper Support, Hairdressers etc
We are a referral-only service and many agencies across the City and District are able to refer clients in need to access our help.
