Making a difference for the disadvantaged in Wakefield

Funding

The Community Awareness Programme is funded by means of generous public donations plus a series of core funding grants to support the necessary expenditure to provide our services.

Significant core funding grants over the years have included:

  • Big Lottery Fund – Four core funding grant awards providing a total of £1.174m from 2004-2018
  • December 2011 received monies to pay for salary of Deputy Manager for 2 years from Lloyds TSB
  • Also received money from Scarman Trust, Yorkshire Building Soc; Redcats, New Life Christian Centre. St Austins RC Church; Kings Church; Leeds & Holbeck Building Soc; Awards for ALL, Lloyds TSB; Garfield Weston, plus various anonymous sources.

Since 2018 CAP has been totally self-funded and totally reliant on the donations and good will of friends and the general public.
