Making a difference for the disadvantaged in Wakefield

A New Era

Official goodbyes were said to Ernest Hibbert co founder of Community Awareness Programme at the staff and volunteers annual 'Thank You' night held at Waterton Golf Club. Ernest was presented with a Kindle and holiday voucher collected from staff voluntees and client. Oh and don't forget the present of the pork pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ernest finally handed over his office on 20th May 2013 to his successor Kevin Dobson.

Kevin born 1966, married to Lorna in 1991 and has two grown up children Emma and Lewis.  Although Kevin has spent his working life in industry when he first came into the interview room all those present knew that he was the one to take the baton and carry forward the work of the charity into the next phase.  I am pleased to announce the transition has been seamless and by the end of the first week it felt as though ‘Kev’  had been with us for years.  Staff volunteers and clients have all welcomed him and a quality strong bond already in place to build relationships.  The downside is that he has the same sense of humour as Ernest, so those that thought life was suddenly going to be easier – think again.
